Caesarean section is the most frequently performed abdominal surgery in the world. Due to the invasive procedure of caesarean section surgery, the main problems often experienced by post caesarean section patients are pain and anxiety. Before the condition getting worse, post caesarean section pain and anxiety can be managed with pharmacological therapy combined with non-pharmacological therapy, namely lavender aromatherapy. The purpose of this study was to provide lavender aromatherapy intervention to reduce the level of pain and anxiety in post caesarean section patients. This study is a descriptive case study with a nursing care method for post caesarean section patients with nursing problems of acute pain and anxiety. The intervention was carried out on two post caesarean section patients by giving 3 drops of lavender essential oil on cotton ball that placed ± 10 cm from the nose for 30 minutes after 2 hours and 12 hours after caesarean section. The assessment was carried out using the Visual Analog Scale (VAS) instrument to assess pain level and the State Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI) to score anxiety. After being given lavender aromatherapy twice in 2 hours and 12 hours after caesarean section, there was a decrease in pain level and anxiety in post caesarean section patients. Hopefully lavender aromatherapy can be used as a non-pharmacological therapy that can be carried out independently to reduce the level of pain and anxiety in post caesarean section patients
