Range of motion (ROM) exercises have been identified as a key intervention to mitigate these challenges. This systematic literature review aims to synthesize recent empirical evidence on the application of ROM exercises for institutionalized older adults, highlighting their effectiveness, barriers to implementation, and recommendations for future practice. Following PRISMA guidelines, a structured search was conducted in Scopus for publications from 2022 to 2024. Inclusion criteria targeted peer-reviewed studies addressing ROM interventions in nursing homes or long-term care settings. After screening and full-text assessment, 10 studies met the eligibility criteria and were included for synthesis. The review found that structured ROM programs improve joint flexibility, enhance functional capacity, reduce the risk of pressure ulcers, and promote mental well-being among nursing home residents. Active ROM demonstrated superior benefits compared to passive ROM interventions. However, barriers such as limited staffing resources, lack of caregiver training, and resident motivation challenges were noted. Facility-based ROM interventions under structured supervision were generally more effective than home-based programs. ROM exercises represent a practical, low-risk, and evidence-supported strategy to preserve mobility and functional independence among institutionalized older adults. Future research should explore culturally adapted, technology-assisted, and sustainable ROM interventions with long-term follow-up to maximize benefits in diverse geriatric populations
2025-12-28T00:00:00+00:00Hak Cipta (c) 2025 Jurnal Pustaka Keperawatan (Pusat Akses kajian Keperawatan)https://jurnal.pustakagalerimandiri.co.id/index.php/pustakakeperawatan/article/view/1173Efektivitas Hipnoterapi Sebagai Terapi Komplementer Untuk Menurunkan Tingkat Kecemasan: Literatur Review2025-08-03T11:17:45+00:00Yahya Firdaus Irawanyahyafirdausirawan04@gmail.comDiva Rahmadhanidivarhmdn@gmail.comSania Azka Samsudinsan.4zk18@gmail.com
Anxiety is defined as a significant mental disorder that affects millions of people around the world, including Indonesia, with an impact on physical and psychological health. Nevertheless, diabetes can lead to various serious complications, including eye disorders such as cataracts. Cataracts are a common ocular complication in individuals with diabetes and can potentially lead to permanent blindness if not treated promptly.Efforts to prevent complications from diabetes largely depend on the patient’s understanding of how to manage the disease. This includes controlling blood sugar levels, blood pressure, cholesterol, adopting a healthy lifestyle, adherence to medication, and undergoing regular eye examinations. Parents’ health literacy was measured using the HLS-EU-Q16 questionnaire, which was adapted to focus on aspects related to children’s healthy eating patterns. Data were analyzed using the Spearman test. The results showed that the majority of parents (70%) had high health literacy, while most children (74%) had moderate self-efficacy. The Spearman test results indicated no significant relationship between parents’ health literacy regarding healthy eating and children’s self-efficacy in choosing healthy foods (p < 0.05). Therefore, additional approaches are needed, involving schools, the social environment, and active family engagement in shaping healthy eating behaviors among children.
2025-12-28T00:00:00+00:00Hak Cipta (c) 2025 Jurnal Pustaka Keperawatan (Pusat Akses kajian Keperawatan)https://jurnal.pustakagalerimandiri.co.id/index.php/pustakakeperawatan/article/view/1250Literatur Review: Efektifitas Metode Moist Wound Healing Dan Metode Konvensional Terhadap Penyembuhan Ulkus Diabetikum2025-08-23T06:07:47+00:00Neng Yeniyenineng1991@gmail.comEsthi Astutiesthi451@gmail.comMarisah Nurlaela Marisanurlaila22@gmail.comAnnisa Ena Rachmawatiannisaenar97@gmail.comSuryaniaganiagasurya6@gmail.comImas SartikaImassartika@uym.ac.id
Diabetes mellitus is a chronic metabolic disease with an increasing incidence rate, and one of its most frequent complications is diabetic ulcers, which significantly impact morbidity, mortality, and amputation risk. Wound care plays a crucial role in managing diabetic ulcers, with the Moist Wound Healing (MWH) method and conventional methods still widely applied. This literature review aims to examine the comparative effectiveness of MWH and conventional methods in diabetic ulcer healing. Article searches were conducted through PubMed, ScienceDirect, and Google Scholar databases with a publication range of 2015–2025. From 51 identified articles, 10 studies met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed using a narrative synthesis approach. The findings indicate that MWH is more effective than conventional methods in accelerating diabetic ulcer healing, as evidenced by increased granulation tissue formation, faster epithelialization, reduced exudate, and decreased risk of infection and pain. Although the initial cost of modern dressings is relatively higher, MWH is more economical overall due to shorter healing duration and reduced length of care. In conclusion, MWH has been proven superior to conventional methods and can be recommended as the standard approach for diabetic ulcer wound care, while still considering patient clinical conditions, dressing availability, and healthcare resources
2025-12-28T00:00:00+00:00Hak Cipta (c) 2025 Jurnal Pustaka Keperawatan (Pusat Akses kajian Keperawatan)https://jurnal.pustakagalerimandiri.co.id/index.php/pustakakeperawatan/article/view/1255Hubungan Indeks Massa Tubuh dengan Kejadian Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2 pada Wanita Menopause di Desa Medan Estate2025-08-28T02:02:43+00:00Lisbeth Febriani Br Sinagalisbethfebriani7@gmail.comLenny Lusia Simatupanglennylusia30@gmail.com
Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus is a metabolic disease caused by insulin resistance and dysfunction of pancreatic beta cells. Failure to respond quickly can lead to death. Mothers play a crucial role as first responders, yet many mothers are underprepared. Choking management training programs are crucial to help mothers respond quickly and appropriately at home. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of choking management training on mothers' knowledge, attitudes, and skills. This study used a quasi-experimental design with a single-group pre and post-test. A total of 49 mothers participated in the study. The training program consisted of education about the risks of choking, recognizing the signs and symptoms, and demonstrating choking management techniques. Knowledge, attitudes, and skills were measured using questionnaires before and after the intervention and analyzed using a paired t-test. The results showed a significant increase in knowledge and skills with a p-value of 0.000 (p<0.05). However, no significant difference in attitudes before and after the training (p-value: 0.214 (p>0.05)). Training programs that include education and demonstrations effectively increase knowledge and skills regarding choking response, but are insufficient to rapidly change attitudes. Improved knowledge and skills are driven by demonstrations that provide direct sensory experience and facilitate the absorption of technical information. On the other hand, the lack of significant change in attitudes may be due to the influence of psychological factors and internal beliefs. Changes in these factors require more time and repeated experience. Furthermore, ongoing support is crucial to strengthen mothers' psychological preparedness and attitudes in emergencies.

2025-12-28T00:00:00+00:00Hak Cipta (c) 2025 Jurnal Pustaka Keperawatan (Pusat Akses kajian Keperawatan)https://jurnal.pustakagalerimandiri.co.id/index.php/pustakakeperawatan/article/view/1557Analisis Skor APACHE II dalam Memprediksi Lama Rawat pada Pasien Kritis2025-12-18T03:44:45+00:00Kristina Suryani Manurungkristinasuryani1203@gmail.comAndi Subandiandisubandi@unja.ac.idAndika Sulistiawanandika.fkik@gmail.comPutri Irwanti Sariputriirwantisari@unja.ac.idDini Rudinidinirudini@unja.ac.id
Critically ill patients treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Intensive Cardiac Care Unit (ICCU) present varying levels of disease severity, which may influence length of stay. The APACHE II score is a widely used scoring system to assess the severity of illness in critically ill patients; however, data describing its association with length of stay at RSUD Raden Mattaher Jambi remain limited. This study aimed to analyze APACHE II scores and length of stay among critically ill patients in the ICU and ICCU. A descriptive quantitative study with a retrospective approach was conducted involving 83 adult critically ill patients treated between January and December 2023. Data were obtained from medical records, and APACHE II scores were calculated using the MDCalc application based on physiological parameters recorded within the first 24 hours of admission. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics. The results showed a mean APACHE II score of 16.37±6.68, with a range of 4–31, while the mean length of stay was 3.55±3.29 days, ranging from 1 to 20 days. The longest average length of stay was observed in patients with APACHE II scores of 11 and 12, and no consistent increase in length of stay was found with higher APACHE II scores. Variations in length of stay were also observed across individual physiological parameters of the APACHE II score. In conclusion, APACHE II scores among critically ill patients were predominantly in the moderate to severe category with relatively short lengths of stay, and APACHE II cannot be used as a single predictor of length of stay without considering other clinical factors.
2025-12-28T00:00:00+00:00Hak Cipta (c) 2025 Jurnal Pustaka Keperawatan (Pusat Akses kajian Keperawatan)https://jurnal.pustakagalerimandiri.co.id/index.php/pustakakeperawatan/article/view/1576Pengaruh Program Tutor Sebaya Melalui Home Visit Terhadap Kepatuhan Berobat pada Pasien Diabetes Mellitus 2025-12-22T17:32:45+00:00Vebriyanti Dauddaudvebriyanti@gmail.comRif'atul Fanirifatul@itsk-soepraoen.ac.idTama Mega Nawangwulan2211020.tamamegan@gmail.com
Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic condition marked by increased blood glucose levels resulting from a gradual reduction in insulin production.
